How can I tell if someone is scamming me?

Scammers often use urgency or emotion to manipulate pet owners. Be cautious if:

• Someone refuses to share proof (photos/videos) of your pet.

• They demand money before providing any details or allowing a reunion.

• They ask for personal information like verification codes or login details.

• They try to take you away from the Petco Love Lost platform.
• Tell you to text a number a mention drones or pet tracking services.

• The contact information or social media profile seems new, fake, or suspicious.
