We are sorry to hear you have not heard back from the person you messaged. Please be sure that you have allowed sufficient time for the other user to have the opportunity to see and respond to your message.
While we understand your concern and worry about the pet, we want to make sure we allow them some time to get back to you, as they may be at work or away from their email. If you do not hear back from them within 24 hours, please reach out to the Petco Love Lost team at lostandfound@petcolove.org and we would be happy to reach out on your behalf.
We understand wanting to connect and be reunited with your pet as soon as possible, but please do not make any sort of threats in your messaging to the other user, as more than likely they are unaware of their pending messages and hostile language will only discourage them from replying and reuniting you with your pet.
Instead, promote productive conversation by mentioning the following:
- Introduce yourself as the pet’s owner
- Offer proof of ownership - including images of your pet, vaccine records etc.
- Thank them for keeping your pet safe
- Ask where they would like to meet you to arrange transfer
